The goal is to create a product that can become the foundation of a premium pet brand. --- ## Design Vision I am not looking to copy existing products. I want a product that feels unique, modern, elegant, premium, and realistic to manufacture at scale. The inspiration images I provide should be used as references for design language, proportions, surface quality, button integration, and overall user experience. I am not attached to a specific mechanism. My priority is achieving the best possible combination of appearance, usability, reliability, and manufacturability. --- ## User Experience Goals The product should feel: * Premium * Smooth * Strong * Precise * Reliable * Modern * Memorable Important goals: * One-handed operation * Strong and secure locking * Easy and comfortable unlocking * Clear mechanical feedback * Strong tactile feedback * Satisfying click sound * Premium feeling during operation * No accidental opening The user should clearly feel that the button controls the mechanism. --- ## Mechanical Requirements The mechanism should: * Withstand real-world pulling forces from dogs * Remain reliable after thousands of cycles * Be safe and durable * Be suitable for mass production * Remain compact and lightweight * Use magnets for alignment if beneficial * Feel refined, precise, and premium I am open to different engineering solutions if they achieve these goals. --- ## Industrial Design Requirements The appearance is just as important as the mechanism. I am specifically looking for someone who can combine: * Mechanical engineering * Industrial design * User experience * Product aesthetics * Manufacturability The final product should not look like an engineering prototype or a generic buckle. It should look like a premium consumer product. Special attention should be given to: * Button appearance and integration * Premium surface design * Smooth curves and refined transitions * Premium proportions * Visual quality from every angle * Minimal visible mechanical elements * Minimal visible pins * Minimal visible magnets * Near zero-gap appearance when locked * Clean and elegant design language The mechanism should be integrated into the design as naturally as possible. --- ## Product Requirements The buckle should be: * Lightweight * Comfortable for dogs * Suitable for daily use * Suitable for premium collar products * Suitable for future leash and accessory products * Scalable across Small, Medium, and Large sizes Ideally, the internal mechanism should remain largely unchanged between sizes while external dimensions can be adjusted. --- ## What I Need Before Hiring Please provide: 1. Examples of similar products or mechanisms you have designed --- ## Project Deliverables At project completion I expect: * STEP files * STL files * Native CAD files (Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or equivalent) * Complete assembly files * Manufacturing-ready dimensions * Exact magnet specifications * Exact spring specifications * Exact hardware specifications * Complete Bill of Materials (BOM) --- ## Validation Requirements Before final approval I would like to receive: * Video showing prototype assembly * Video showing locking and unlocking * Video showing button operation * Video showing pull-force testing * Video showing lock security * Photos from multiple angles * Explanation of how the mechanism works * Confirmation that the tested prototype matches the supplied files If a prototype is printed and assembled, I would like the testing process documented so I can evaluate the locking feel, click feedback, appearance, durability, and overall user experience. --- ## Final Goal The goal is not simply to create a working buckle. The goal is to create a product that: * Looks exceptional * Feels exceptional * Locks securely * Unlocks smoothly * Provides satisfying click feedback * Has a premium visual appearance * Is suitable for mass production * Can become the foundation of a premium pet brand I am looking for someone who can combine engineering, usability, and industrial design into a product that feels truly premium and differentiated from products already on the market.
