About This Job We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented virtual assistant to help us beta test a newly built consumer web application before its public launch. This is a task-based, fixed-price project that can be completed on your own schedule within the agreed timeframe. No technical or coding knowledge is required. You simply need to be comfortable navigating websites, following a structured checklist, and clearly documenting what you find. If something does not work correctly, looks broken, or feels confusing to use, we want to know about it. After hiring, we will send you a detailed step-by-step testing checklist, login credentials, and all instructions you need to get started. The site includes payment features that are running in test/sandbox mode — no real charges will ever be made. What You Will Be Doing Your role is to act as a real user and methodically work through our web application from start to finish, following the checklist we provide. For each item, you will note whether it works correctly, describe any issues you find, and take a screenshot whenever something is broken or behaves unexpectedly. The checklist covers all major areas of the site, including: Browsing all public pages and checking that everything loads, reads, and links correctly Creating user accounts, testing login, logout, and password reset flows Using the core features of the platform as both an account owner and as a visitor Testing paid plan upgrades and purchases using a test credit card we provide (no real money involved) Checking that the site works properly on desktop, tablet, and mobile Testing with multiple accounts to simulate how different users interact with each other on the platform Reviewing pages for spelling errors, broken links, confusing wording, and anything that seems out of place You do not need to figure out what to test on your own — every step is spelled out in the checklist. Your job is simply to follow it carefully, be honest about what you find, and write up your results clearly. What You Will Submit At the end of your testing, please send us the following: The completed checklist with every item marked Pass, Fail, or N/A A brief written note for every item marked Fail, explaining what happened and what you expected A labeled screenshot or screen recording for every issue you find A short written summary of your overall impressions and the most important issues you noticed A list of any text errors, broken links, or confusing wording found anywhere on the site All screenshots organized in a folder with clear file names Who We Are Looking For This role is a great fit for a virtual assistant who is organized, thorough, and genuinely pays attention to detail. You do not need a technical background — you just need to be someone who notices when things are off and can clearly explain what you saw. You are a good fit if you: Are comfortable browsing and using websites on both desktop and mobile Can follow a detailed checklist and work through it step by step without skipping items Know how to take screenshots and organize files clearly Write clearly in English and can describe a problem in plain language Are reliable and can meet a deadline without needing to be followed up with Have access to a stable internet connection Can create and use multiple email addresses for testing purposes Bonus if you have: Previous experience doing website testing, QA work, or bug reporting Experience working as a virtual assistant on Freelancer or similar platforms Familiarity with taking and organizing labeled screenshots or screen recordings To confirm you have read this posting, please include the following phrase somewhere in your application: “I have read the full job description and understand this is a sandbox beta test.” Applications that do not include this phrase will not be considered.
